If he was truly concerned, he would be devising, and implementing, creative solutions to the problem. But since he has no clue, he cannot do that.

He is embarrassed by the condition, and lashes out against it in such a useless manner, because it believes that will distance himself from it. But it won't. It only makes other people ask, "Why, as a wealthy Black man, do you do nothing for your own people? Are you no better than the so-called Black Leaders?"
Rubbish.

His "rhetoric", as you call it, serves a GREAT purpose, and should be repeated by many others. There is more truth and purpose in his words than can be found in the combined words of a DOZEN other black "role models" in this country.

Obviously he IS concerned, or he wouldn't bother to speak about it at all...

How would it benefit him directly to "distance" himself from it, as you assert?...

He has already made his money... Yes, he IS a "rich guy"... And how do you think he GOT that way?.....

He did so through WORK, skill, INTELLIGENCE, and persistence.

He is leading by example.

The ones who criticize him for doing so, or for saying so, are either jealous, or too stupid and/or unmotivated to do the same, or BOTH.

He is FAR better than the "so-called black leaders" such as Jackson and Sharpton, because he is actually pointing out the REALITY of the situation. The reality that the plight of many of these "less fortunate" individuals is largely of their own doing.

He is also telling people what the solution is.... Telling people that education and individual responsibility is the way out of their situation, rather than merely waiting for a handout from someone else, or another band-aid program from the government.

And as I said before... He doesn't offer handouts or empty promises and rants like many of his contemporaries... Instead, he leads by example.

Apparently some are just unwilling to learn from his example.
