Yeah, happily there is a stud sticking out; i'll see if i can grab it with the vice grips.

Seriously, how tight do i screw in the new one? I'd imagine tighter than 9nm because that is the rating for the nut that holds the valve cover on.

I'm assuming the way to put it back in is with two nuts and tightening the top one.
