They are old cars, there will always be a few things that need your attention.

You need to have a list and prioritize repairs. IE things that will leave you stranded come first, things that make you comfortable come second, and cosmetic things are at the bottom.

After awhile you will get the driveline sorted out to the point that you can drive it anywhere without the fear of getting stuck. But everything else from the windows to the door locks to the climate control will be a never ending battle.

Work on the car until you don't enjoy it any more, then get something new.

Actualy if you only have 3-5 things that are not working right your doing pretty good!
