What does alcohol have to do with this? As you say - it is legal.
And, a petty crime to you may not be a petty crime to me. Seems like an aweful lot of crimes are related to selling, using, buying, and supporting the habit of ILLEGAL drug use. The net effect on society is huge. That's not petty in my book. I am for no tolerance when it comes to illegal drugs.
I do not consider killing an uncontrolled dog and handcuffing little combative brats "brutality". Maybe you do. Sometimes I wish someone would handcuff all the uncontrolled brats in public.
I go back to - none of this would have happened had the mother raised the kid right in the first place. Or, having failed there, kick the punk out.
