i just rechecked my records and the mileage has been exactly 3000 miles since the last change.
usage= 1 quart+.
I talked to the dealer and he said that because of the original change interval (5000/10,000 miles) ,,that perhaps some sludge has built up.
I have all records since new and the oil was changed at 10,20,27,32,39k.
Then i changed at 44.5
Car now at 47.5
He suggested changing the oil/filter at 2/3 k miles for the next couple of changes and then revert back to a 5k interval....
He also said they now use 5-40 instead of 0-40
I guess thats what I will try...keep your fingers crossed.
