Tale a Remmington 870 shotgun. Do I buy the Express or the Wingmaster? Well, which one is more accurate? I would say they both are about the same having shot both on a vice. So, for just hunting alone and not asthetics, I'd get the Express.

The cheap rod and reel combos can be had for $20 on some sale days. A good spinning reel can be had for $100+. However, I am casting all day long. That good one is now a bargain.

Bottom line is you have to define what you need the item for and figure out if it is worth it. In the case of the gun, if you want to show it off, get the wingmaster. If you want to shoot clays, I'd get the Express. With the rod and reel, I'd get the asian one if I was trying out fishing for a couple days. Now if I were to do it often enough, I'd buy the $100+ one.
