Hi all

Can anyone help
I have a 2001 mercedes 140 a class automatic, the gearbox packed in and I have been able to obtain a second hand replacement. However I have started stripping the old box out and I noticed that my box has 2 cables going to it where as the replacement has only 1. It would appear that they have stopped using the shift lock cable from the ignition to the box and instead it goes from the ignition to the brake pedal. Does anyone out there know if I can still fit the box and change the brake pedal and cable???
