The bulb is actually soldered into the circuit board. I found another display at the junk yard. But it turned out to be another Celcius. I have a Fahrenheit being delivered soon. Thought I would save the Celcius just in case... Occasionally you can find display replacements on Ebay too. Both types. Usually for around $45.00.
As an alternative, take the display to most electronics shops that deal in repair. They can renew your bulb for a fee.
