Continuing the M110 Valve Adjustment Discussion

I've done this job several times on the OM617 but never on the twincam (which I've just acquired). So as I am looking under the valve cover, I am a bit puzzled as to how one 'locks' the adjusters after the proper valve lash is obtained? Or is this unlike on the diesel engine and one just adjusts the 17mm nut until the correct clearance is gotten and leaves it at that? Thanks in advance.
