the adjusters have an interference fit on the threads so they will stay where put. you are supposed to check the torque required to move them to be sure they will stay put. i never figured out exactly how to do that though. this was a typical mb valve adjustment back at least to the fintails. it is an overhead cam that works on a rocker. the cam pushes directly onto the middle of the rocker and the pivot point is the ball stud which is threaded. then you adjust the ball stud while checking clearance between the rocker and the cam.
worked fine. beemers and old ferraris have the same system.
