Sub and Amp Install Help

Hi Guys, I'm having issues with my Sub Hookup. Heres my setup....

1 JL Audio 10W6V2 sub in a sealed box, dual voice coils wired in parallel, and a AlpineMRD-M650 Mono Amplier hooked up with 4 ga. power wire, a 30A inline fuse and grounded to a 10MM bolt in the trunk, hooked up to a Pioneer DEH-3700MP Head Unit, with Twisted RCA Cables and a remote turn on wire. I just installed the amp and sub on Sunday. Everything comes on fine, but when I turn the volume up, the amp stops putting out signal, but the amp still shows to be on.

Turning the ignition switch off and waiting a few minutes lets everything come back on again, the sub will start bumping again. TUrn the volume up to any decent level, and the amp stops putting out again.

I took a DVOM and checked resistance across the speaker box wire input, and I'm at 1.9 Ohms.

So, I have a good sturdy ground, good quality cables, but no bass....anyone have any tips?
