i've only owned 1 new car... a 1998 expedition... we drove it gingerly for the first 3k... actually it's always been driven gingerly.

i didn't even know that it was supposed to get 5w-30... i always put in 20w-50.. changed the oil at 3k...never more than 4k..

i run 5w-30 synthetic now... the car has 158k.. i see no reason why the engine won't go another 100k... it will be interesting to see how long the tranny holds up. i change it religiously every 30k...same with fuel filter.

virtually no problems with this truck... i would say the mileage is split 65 percent highway 35 percent city.
