On my old car with manual tranny my favourite way to negate a downhill run was to shift down and let the engine take care of the breaking. Is it Ok to shift down the MB downhill (pull to S or L from D) and vice versa, shift up to D after the downhill is done on the go or am I risking any tranny damage ?
