The trap cat on the 1985 300DT California looks sufficiently like the trap ox that you can't tell unless you see the two side by side or you see them all the time so you know which is which or you know the part numbers. They are similar in appearance because they were made to fit in the same space. If the dealer says M-B shows replacement, then it was done.
