you may want to try using a heat gun or possibly a home hair dryer on that wood panel to loosen adhesive....

if the panel doesn't come up easily...measure center at the top of the wood piece. then dremel or roto zip 1/8-1/4 inch each side of center... the small screw should be there to take out.. you would probably re-finish the wood anyway...

that's what i would do if it wouldn't come out easily.

the concept of the wood is great...but someone did not allow for future repairs.
