I've got a 1987 260E with a hot starting problem. It starts OK cold although it may run a little rough for a few minutes and there is a rich gas smell. But the real problem is once the motor is hot and I shut it off for half an hour, it's hard starting. It'll crank and crank but eventually start and when it does, it runs rough for a few seconds. I've looked through the threads and only find information about cold starting problems with this model.
