It is Federal and there are two federal districts. They can choose a jury from the Southern District, but he will probably fight that because the Southern District is much, much more white than his district. Now also, I am not convicting him before he has had said trial, but mentioning this in the same context as say, this Foley thing, ect....which also hasn't been borne out in a Court yet.
Yes they elect State Judges in that County but this is a Federal case dood.
