Yeah, have your timing checked. Dragging brakes won't slow
down a 617, THAT much. Also, have your linkages adjustments checked. Just make sure the person knows how to do the timing, whichever method he uses. If you still have problems and you are 100% certain that the timing is spot on, then consider the nozzles but not before changing to new filters and insuring unrestricted fuel flow from the tank all the way to the injectors. Anyway, the IP timing in addition to all of the other associated systems need to be in order, before the nozzles are R&R, in my opinion. But if you have the money, go ahead and get the nozzles, just because you can.
