You have a good idle and if car starts pretty good in cold weather it means probably at least pretty fair compression if not better. I Think you will find your timing late and perhaps the cam needing a correction key. Evaluate you boost and get it up to par if it is not. The smoke itself points to late timing I think. Then decide what you want to do injector wise. Do not forget to set the valves as well if overdue. The primary tune up might net you a few miles per gallon as well. It is not a waste of time and energy as even if you suspect that everything was in good shape you know it for sure after. I do not think in your case the poor aceleration is worn out injectors. Make sure to check the chain guides for condition when in there. I suspect the tune up is going to suprise you.
