Hi,

I own a 1997 E300D. Tonight, in a middle of a rain storm, my one and only wiper stopped doing its job of wipping its windshield.

I finally got home with no arms. When I turn the wiper on, I can hear the wiper motor running smoothly. The wiper itself does not move at all. In fact, I can move it myself from left to right. The wiper arm is free even if the wiper motor is turned off.

Any clue on what is causing this problem ? Should I order a new wiper transmission ? Please help on instruction to dismount this wiper
