I believe if you pull the covers on the ABS/ASR unit you'll find some relays in there..pulling one of those disables the ASR. I currently own a 91 SEC w/ ASR and I Hate the feature... I have an ASR defeat switch installed and turn it on (off) every time I get in the car.

Just another item to save you from yourself that gets in the way more then it helps.. I find Right as things are getting interesting it will kick in, and when you are planning for it not to intervene the chassis becomes Very upset. Perhaps it's good for drivers who don't like driving but fortunately I don't fall into that category.
