I would say no; my roof has the rear pop-up feature. With the pop-up roof, you don't have to force it, it will lift easily through the normal intended range of travel if you push up from the inside.
Also: the rear of the headlining of the sunroof panel seems to be held to the panel by Velcro; you may have to push the headlining down in the rear a little to be able to see between the headlining and the steel panel. MIne was already somewhat loose.
