Joel, my grief is not self made it is deliberately caused by MB Canada.

with all due respect, do you think it is right for MB Canada to restrict and hide information on how to import a vehicle (and not even disclose what vehicles are admissable?)

And on top of that MB charges a ridiculous fee of $750 just to provide you with an estimate on what needs to be done? And they want you to pay this fee for each VIN even if it is the same model and year!!!!!

Further, demand that all work has to be by them?

No other manufacturer does this. Somehow, they've managed to exclude themselves from the RIV.CA website and thereby making all their vehicles admissable unless you get an admissibility letter from them and pay $750 just to get an estimate on what needs to be done!

I don't know about you, but this is anti-competitive and worse.

BTW, the prices are still about $8,000 cheaper for a used W211 in the US even after the exchange.

So either you are naive about MB Canada's business tactics on keeping people from importing US vehicles to keep the market high on used cars or may be you work for MB Canada.
