Thank you Minnet & Whunter for your replies.
I live in San Carlos (Northern California) about 30 miles south of San Francisco. Unfortunately, I’m not mechanically inclined. Trying to learn what is the best way to get my S420 repaired. Minnet, in your reply you are stating that you don’t believe in Throttle body actuator do you mean that it can not be the cause of the problem or that the throttle body actuator and cruise control (e-gas) actuator are not the same parts. When I drove the car to the shop last week, as I stopped at signal lights. To move on, I had to give gas gradually so the car wouldn’t die. Once it got going the major hesitation would go away. Please advice me, as what I should do next. How would I know if the mechanics diagnoses is correct.
