Hi, I am a first-timer, and I dont see anything particularly difficult about the sunroof. Mine would not open, so I had to do a little research. I pushed it up on the rear edge from inside and popped the front of the headlining off with a long screwdriver reaching from the rear and between the headliner, then slid it back enough to get the steel panel off, then it's follow the factory manual the rest of the way. There really is not much to the sunroof, as long as it isn't rusted out or damaged. The end of my cable tube is bent, though, so I will go into the headliner (another first for me) soon. So far: new cable, new cable tube; left and right slide brackets; Gleitpaste.
Interesting fact I learned this weekend: Chrysler bought their sunroofs from "the same German company who supplies Mercedes-Benz", according to an old Motor Trend "Annual New Car" issue blurb on the new Chryslers for 1974. Wonder if it's still the same supplier?
