Although I suppose some might call the A Class a van, it is not the window passenger van that I have been writing about here.

The A Class is a VERY SMALL commuter car sold in Europe, and probably almost everywhere else in the world except N. America. It is a neat little car, but not by any stretch of imagination a van in the terms that a US driver would consider to be a van.

The A Class has an interesting story. When they were introducing it, a European car magazine, I think in Sweded, but maybe somewhere else, worked hard and managed to roll it over. They gave it a bunch of bad press. MB then put a sophisticated computerized active suspension on it and made it into a very highly respected car for Europe. The A Class to us would be a tiny car. In Europe however, it is considered to be about average size. The only thing MB sells that's any smaller is the SMART. Now THAT's a tiny car.

I'm not sure what the MB large window van is called. But it comes from the truck people in Europe, not sold as a car like you would see here.

Have a great day,
