W201 central locking help

I have a 93 W201 with a wiring problem. I think I have to rewire the central locking system, as it is blowing the fuse with the pump connectors disconnected. This means that there is a short to ground somewhere in the circuit. However, I am not sure how the system power works and the manual is not too helpful.

Does anyone know the vacuum pump pin functions? There is a rectangular connector with 2 heavier gauge wires going to it....red and brown. Are these the power/ground to run the pump?

The round connector has 3 pins, 2 of them green and one brown (if I remember correctly). What are these?

Any help appreciated.
cheers
