It would be interesting to see the AMG documentation (if it's not "lost") on this one......

AMG DID make parts (especially body kits and wheels) for the W123, but not too many W123 cars were fitted with AMG parts.

This one was probably a US spec. car likely converted at the old Westmont Illinois AMG facility in the mid 80's before it shut down. From the pictures all you can verify is the boot lid badge is an original AMG. If it lived it's entire life in Illinois then it should be checked out in all the usual places for rust.

You don't see too many black 123 sedans.
