HoustonM3, have a PPI (pe-purchase inspection) done by a tech trained to work on MB automobiles and who is intimately familiar with the 140 cars. Then you'll know what immediate repairs this S320 needs and what repairs it's likely to need in the longterm. As Brian mentions, you want to avoid a "money pit" and this car has the symptoms from your description.
