A leak in your brake system wouldn't effect your clutch unless the brake fluid level in the reservoir got way low. Could that be the case? Have you checked up under the carpet (clutch master) for brake fluid ?

Again too clarify, when your clutch fails you check your brake fluid reservoir (particularly the aft chamber that feeds the clutch) and you find it low (below the level of the hose that feeds the clutch master cylinder) and you cant find the leak...is that right?
