My 307d was low on hydraulic fluid once and took a gulp of air when I went around a corner.
The system is designed so that low fluid causes the clutch to fail before the brakes, at least it was on my 307d.
Mine must be messed up then cause my brakes definitely went out way before the clutch stopped working.
I didn't know what it was and I wanted to drive my car around because I just got it so a basically drove it with back brakes only.
