Just for kicks, did you check and clean the accessory cable at the positive port on the battery?
If there is the slightest corrosion on there you can get funny things happen.
Had a clk soft top problem that was kicking the technicians butt, turned out to be the slightest corrosion at the small eyelet on the small red wire at the positive battery terminal.
