Most helpfull thing I have found is removing the bottom bolt and raising the engine several inches. That allows you to remove the metal shield from the mount and gives you a bit more room to work in there. Then vise grips are my favorite. try taking off the tire so you can get in from the wheelwell, if you have not already.
