John, it's likely the ECUs for the USA cars and the UK/Euro cars would be different as we operate under dis-similar pollution regulations. I am a bit disappointed to learn nobody on your side has ever heard of it.

Is there any possibility you could contact someone in Germany, share the contents of the article and have them research it? It sounds to me like you've spent a lot of GBPs trying to sort this and have nothing to show for it.

I can contact my local parts specialist and see what he says. I know an ECU is going to be huge $$$ and is likely to be specific to the region where the derv is sold.
