I'm trying to get the front axle to pop out of the transaxle housing. I replaced both axles on this 7-year old Kia, and the old ones snapped out pretty easily. But of course, lucky me, I tore the seal on the left side and its dumping oil. I can't get the new axle back out.

I now have a chisel wedged between the axle and housing, and I whacked it as hard as I could. It won't budge. If I can't do this thing myself, off to the dump it goes. As I said, its a 7-year old Kia probably not worth the cost of a shop visit. What else can I try?
