Nahh,come on..this was based on the classic Isky 505,originally developed for Mopar mills,rough idle but quick off the mark,sort of a lousy street cam profile for idling and low rpm's but it would reveal it's true colors after the tach hit 1,200-1,500.

The headers had the added virtue of joining ported heads,polished to the equivalent of 900 grit grain,sodium cooled exhaust valves and a real free-flowing exhaust system,"cherry bombs"being straight thru glass packs with almost no back pressure,the whole secret therein,at least in 1978 technology.
