UPDATE - Now I have a leak at the IP
Looks like I spoke too soon. I've noticed over the past few days some hesitation, slight as it might be, upon heavy acceleration. Then today, the engine went into what I can only describe as a spasm where it was struggling just to keep at around 25MPH going down a side street.
I pulled over to find the top of the IP is wet with fuel, running down and over the shutoff valve. Looks like I will have to tackle the delivery valve seals sooner rather than later...I really think it is reasonable to blame ULSD at this point since up until this second tank of it the car had no leaks whatsoever.
It's back to running OK now, with the same occaisional hesitation that I had been seeing recently.
Oh well, at least I already bought the splined socket in anticipation of having to tackle this project sometime...I had just hoped it would have proven to be a tool I'd never have to actually use.
