Yeah- its super easy to check. On my 380SE, it was low one time. I just added regular PS fluid. I am assuming it was safe to do so. I have not had to add any since and the PS works perfectly. I found out that when I park the car with the front of the car uphill, it will slightly leak. When parked level, or the front downhill.... no leaks. I just stopped parking with the front uphill. Problem solved.
