Thanks for the comments and kind words. Yes it will be an exceptional weekend. We will go out to the beach this late afternoon and do the final shutdown of the cottage for the winter. Perhaps a little wine with dinner out there. It is still 70 degrees here this week but next week will be different. Sunday a couple of guys that have posted on site will drop by the house from separate destinations. This is a first for me. I have become used to fellows at the front door on a pretty regular basis seeking this and that for their mercedes vehicles in the last year. They are locals and do not use our site that I know of. If things allow it I will drive to attend some of the get togethers in the next year or two. I really want to meet some of the site participants personally. My email relating to diesel mercedes is getting heavier as well. On another tack. Just finished repairs to the solor system. It has functioned faultlessly for twenty five years. Produces about 200,000 btu daily average in the winter. The equipment to redo headlight reflectors and simular items keeps arriving on an almost daily basis. Some items are hard to source but overall it goes well. Oddly enough we will be able to do them three different ways. Primarily an interest for the son in law as I cannot find the time to participate heavily long term.. Two of the methods are extremely durable. In otherwords there is always something interesting going on here. Thats the way I like it.
