I'm getting ready to swap the diff again on my car. I thought I might as well replace the mount bushings while I have it out. I bought the SIR tool for the 124, but now notice in the shop manual that the V8 cars have different mounts. Anybody know whether this is a similar process for the 6 cyl and V8 cars? Anybody used the SIR tool and know that it will work?

As an aside, does the diff have to be completely removed to replace this in the V8 cars, or can it be lowered enough to manuever the extraction tool in place?

This in on my 94 E420, and I'm talking about the rear mounts.
