What about the spring perch and harmonic balancer failures? Wasn't that somewhat of a widespread occurance?

I think watching the Tech helps section is a darn good indicator for model reliability. When a bunch of people there start complaining that they kneuterwidget is not only broken, but expensive as well, people will hopefully remember and either avoid that model, or make sure it's fixed/not broken.
