Tom, as usual you hit the nail on the head. Some pulling shops do excellent work. Some not. It is up to the individual to find out who is pretty good in their area. It really pays to ask around and find out. In my area the best by far is also the cheapest. They have one older gentleman pulling and pushing cars back into shape each and every day. Probably been doing just this for 40 years. It is a full time occupation for him. The pure constant experience plus paying attention makes him faster than most and a lot better. Thats why he is busy all the time. He does not have time for rework because something is not right. He will get it right the first time 99 percent of the time and usually miss nothing. His experience also makes him quite fast so the bills are reasonable. Actually he functions by combined constant experience at a high level. There are places around here that never get it right or very seldom as well. Funny that they charge so much more. Their are at least 10 other frame/body jigs in our area. I would not let most of them pull or straighten my tie. . When buying a service since my paranoia at being ripped off by poor quality or price comes into play I shop and check carefully .By asking around if I do not already know. Still get caught sometimes. Unavoidable it seems.
