And most Modern engines have a few hundered pieces.
It's a step up from the wankel. The chambers are not spread out like the wankel's (Which is the reason for wankel's poor MPG)
Main point is, All of the parts have a function - all of the time. On a piston engine you have a couple of cylinders firing at one time, whaile the others are draging. Photo-Detanation is also one great idea. Only problem is with seals...
