That's not entirely true, but close. There is a small program every Mac user should have: Cocktail, run this once a week and after you installed a program and your Mac stays happy.

I use Powerbooks for years, a friend of mine is using a Powerbook I bought six years ago and it's still usable for every day work; Email, Word, browsing even light Photoshop work or editing running the latest Mac OS!
