To each their own for sure. I know tons more people than not who are attracted to maintainence-free vehicles. I reckon we who love to tinker are in the minority.

Problem is that most people don't do the maintenance and when there are issues, the blame the car. Ever know anyone to say "My car broke because I was an idiot and didn't maintain it?" Nope. It is always "(insert brand here) made a crappy product."
Yes, we are in the minority which is why they aren't catering to us. Gone are the days where you pull in for gas, they clean your glass and check your oil, etc, etc.
