Religion doesn't really require belief in an invisible man in the sky, nor in supernatural miracles. Buddhism, Confucianism, Humanism and Liberal Protestantism or Catholicism are all versions of religion which reject all those things. Pre-modern or pre-scientific religion commonly include those kinds of beliefs but scientific or post-scientific religion don't require them.
