My '96 is the first car I've owned with cruise control. The new Jetta has it too, but we're not using it until we get a few more miles on the engine.

One only needs a quick glance at the speedometer, once you know where the numbers are. It hardly keeps my eyes or attention off the road. Hell, back in the old days, you had to also occasionally glance at the other gauges!
