Many auto parts stores sell replacement lamps with "Sylvania" boldly shown on the front of the package; however, if you look at the back of the package you'll see Osram Sylvania ... the full name of the company. The wattage is critical when replacing lamps on a MB ... so the package doesn't necessarily have to state "European" if the wattage matches that listed in the Owner's Manual for a particular lamp.
