The head gasket on my 1992 124 300TE is acting more and more like the British rust proofing system and is time for the change. I have found some good info on the site but have a few questions. 1) What would be the best manual aside from the official Mercedes Books IE Bentley, Hayes, Chilton etc. or a CD ROM?
2) Do I: clean both surfaces well and put it back together, machine the face or the full enchilada of a rebuild. I opt for the first for now. The weathers getting cold in New England and my work shop is colder. The spring my bring the rebuild, but for now...
