My local MB dealership has a 1979 VW Super Beetle Convertible that was traded in to them in 1992 with 64,000 miles on it. Don't know if they'd buy a diesel MB with half a million miles on it for the same purpose though....

Wow 64,000 miles on a beetle is a milestone. Imagine how beat down and degraded the driver would have been after that many miles on one of those things.
Those cars should only be owned in climates where it never gets hot or cold. Like inside!
